Free interview preparation

Prepare for the interview in front of you

Most rejections at the fresher level come from preparation gaps, not ability. Here's what to prepare and how.

Answer behavioural questions with STAR

For any “Tell me about a time when…” question, structure your answer in four parts. It keeps you concise and makes your contribution clear.

S
SituationThe context, in one or two sentences.
T
TaskWhat you specifically had to achieve.
A
ActionWhat you did — use “I”, not “we”.
R
ResultThe outcome, with a number if possible.

Six questions you will almost certainly be asked

“Tell me about yourself.”
60–90 seconds: who you are professionally, the one or two things you've built or done that fit this role, and why this role is your next step. Not your life story.
“Why do you want to work here?”
Show you read about the company: its product, customers or tech. Connect one specific thing to what you want to learn or contribute.
“Walk me through a project.”
Problem → your role → approach and stack → one hard decision and why → result. Be ready to go two levels deeper on anything you mention.
“What is your biggest weakness?”
Pick a real, non-critical weakness and what you're actively doing about it. Avoid disguised strengths like “I work too hard.”
“Where do you see yourself in 3 years?”
Growing depth in the role you're interviewing for. Interviewers want to hear you'll stay and improve, not that you're using this as a stepping stone.
“Do you have any questions for us?”
Always yes. Ask about the team's current challenges, how success is measured in the first 90 days, or what the interview process looks like next.
