How it works
How the placement process works, step by step
Last updated 8 October 2026
The five stages
- 01
Build your profile
Skills, education, experience, preferred roles and locations, and your resume. Onboarding takes about 10 minutes.
- 02
Get verified
Our team reviews your profile — usually within 1–2 working days — and either verifies it or tells you exactly what to correct.
- 03
Get matched
When an employer we work with has a role that fits your verified profile and plan, it's offered on your dashboard and by email.
- 04
Prepare, attend, improve
Confirm within the response window, prepare with the role details and checklist, attend, and use the outcome to improve the next one.
Timelines and rules at a glance
| Stage | What happens | Typical timing |
|---|---|---|
| Payment | Pay by UPI and submit the 12-digit UTR; our team confirms it | A few working hours |
| Profile verification | Profile reviewed; verified or sent back with a correction note | 1–2 working days |
| Opportunity offered | Role, company, date and interview type shown on your dashboard | Depends on matching roles |
| Respond | Confirm or decline — declining never uses a credit | Within 48 hours |
| Join | Online interview link unlocks on your dashboard | 60 minutes before start |
| Withdraw | Credit returned if you withdraw 24+ hours before; kept if later | Any time before the interview |
When a credit is used — and when it isn't
Interview Starter and Interview Plus include a fixed number of interview opportunities. Here is exactly how they're counted.
Used
When you confirm you'll attend an interview (and then attend, or miss it without notice).
Returned
If you decline an offer, the offer expires, the employer or our team cancels, or you withdraw at least 24 hours before.
Never used
For viewing opportunities, preparing, or talking to your counsellor. Placement Journey has no fixed credit count.
What each plan includes
One-time payments by UPI. No subscriptions, no auto-renewal. Full feature lists are on the pricing page.

FAQ
Questions, answered
Clear, honest answers — including what we can and can't promise.
How long before I get my first interview opportunity?
After your profile is verified, it depends on how many open roles match your profile, preferred roles and location at that time. Keeping your profile complete and your preferences realistic makes matching faster. Your dashboard always shows your current stage.
Do I apply to jobs myself?
You can keep applying on your own if you like, but the opportunities on your dashboard come from employers our team works with — you don't apply to those, you confirm whether you'll attend.
What if I can't attend an interview I confirmed?
Withdraw from your dashboard as early as possible. At least 24 hours before, your credit is returned. Missing an interview without notice uses the credit and can affect your standing under the Interview Participation Policy.
